Jesus says: “Let the little children come to me!”
He invites them to his house. When we meet Him in the Church, the children belong just as much. We want them to feel at home in God’s house – from the beginning. In St. Svithun parish, children of all ages are welcome!
Our classes intends to help the children develop an awareness about their faith and belonging in the Church. But as parents are given the primarily responsibility to raise their children in the faith, it is important to attend mass with the children, pray at home and talk about their own faith.
If you plan to stay here, we encourage children to attend the main program in Norwegian, in order to relate the faith to the daily life here, build friendships with peers, and be able to express their faith in Norwegian:
English speaking catechesis
We have religious education in English for all children (6-15 years old) on Sundays after the 9.30 mass, from 10.30 to 12.oo.

The RE classes follow the same school calendar as The International School in Stavanger.
Norges Unge Katolikker
We encourage all children (and families) to support the child and youth work in the Church, and urge you to say yes to membership in the youth organisation (NUK) on the registration form. Membership is included in the price and does not incur any additional costs.
